Art That Reminds Us of God’s Love.
In today's climate, we often forget to stop and contemplate God. Memento Christi (Remember Christ) is dedicated to reminding individuals of God's constant presence and love through religious art across countless mediums.
Welcome to Memento Christi
Memento Christi exists to bring Christ into every home through the beauty of sacred art. By handcrafting crucifixes with reverence, care, and theological depth, we seek to make Catholic art both accessible and enduring. We give new life to reclaimed wood and new purpose to the work of our hands, so that every piece may inspire prayer, contemplation, and devotion to our Lord.
At Memento Christi, every crucifix is more than art. It is an invitation to prayer. Our mission is to create sacred works that honor Christ’s Passion with beauty and reverence, while also making fine Catholic art accessible to the faithful.
The heart of our work lies in craftsmanship rooted in devotion. Each corpus begins as a hand-sculpted original, carefully formed in clay before being 3D scanned and printed in resin. This process ensures that no detail of the human touch is lost while allowing us to preserve and share these works with a wider community. Every figure is prayerfully hand-painted, capturing not only the physical reality of Christ’s suffering but also the spiritual weight of His sacrifice.
The crosses themselves are made from reclaimed hardwood, often over 100 years old. This is not a mere practical choice. It is a theological statement. In giving new life to wood once discarded, we echo the truth that all of creation finds its highest purpose in glorifying God. Just as the Cross itself, once an instrument of death, was transformed into the instrument of our salvation, so too does this reclaimed wood receive a new and sacred purpose: to bear the image of Christ.
Our crucifixes are not mass-produced. Each one is made slowly, prayerfully, and with the intent that it should serve as a focal point of faith in a home, chapel, or parish. We see our work as a form of stewardship: of tradition, of beauty, and of the materials entrusted to us.
Memento Christi is not just about making crucifixes. It is about reviving Catholic art for a new generation, keeping alive the tradition that sacred art is not merely decoration, but a profound participation in the mystery of God. We believe that every created thing has a highest calling, and for us, the highest calling of art is to bring souls closer to Christ.
This is our prayer, and this is our craft: that through each crucifix, those who gaze upon the image of our Crucified Lord may be drawn deeper into the mystery of His love.
